Why blue light lenses matter
Most of us spend hours a day in front of screens. Those screens emit a concentrated spike of blue light that your eyes aren't built to handle for long stretches. The result is dry eyes, headaches, and that wired feeling that lingers after you close the laptop.
Blue light filter lenses cut that spike without changing the color of what you see. The lens stays clear, so you can wear them all day — not just at the computer.
Keep the frames you already own
You don't need to buy another pair of glasses to get screen protection. Send us the frames you already wear — we email you a prepaid shipping label, you box them up, and our opticians cut blue light filter lenses to fit.
Every frame is inspected by an optician before we cut anything. If your prescription won't sit safely in that frame, we call you first.

Blue light filter lenses: frequently asked questions
What do blue light filter lenses actually do?
They cut the high-energy blue light that screens, phones, and LED lights emit. Most people notice less eye strain and fewer headaches after long days in front of a computer. They don't block all blue light — just the range most linked to digital eye fatigue.
Can I put blue light lenses in my current frames?
Yes. Send us the frames you already wear and we cut blue light filter lenses to fit them. An optician inspects every frame before cutting, and we call you if your prescription won't fit safely.
How much do blue light filter lenses cost?
Single vision blue light lenses are $109. That includes anti-glare, scratch-resistant, and UV coatings, plus free shipping both ways. Progressives are $229 ($199 base + $30).
Do I need a prescription?
Not necessarily. Blue light lenses can be made with your prescription or as plano (non-prescription) lenses if you just want screen protection. You can upload a photo of your prescription or give us your doctor's details and we'll request it.
Are blue light lenses the same as computer glasses?
Yes — computer glasses are usually just clear lenses with a blue light filter coating. They don't magnify unless you specifically add a reading power. Ours filter blue light from screens while keeping the lens clear enough for everyday wear.
